EMS Nest is a fully automatic, true shape nesting software for optimizing material utilization on flat stock material. One of the most full featured nesting applications in the industry, EMS Nest is robust, customizable, and extremely fast! In production for over nine years, EMS Nest gives you the precision and reliability your critical production environment requires.
True shape nesting means that the actual geometric details of the part are taken into consideration while nesting. No approximation as a rectangle or any other simpler shapes is used while nesting parts on the sheet. Only the true shape of the part is considered in creating the nest.
True shape nesting enables interlocking of parts, recognition of arbitrary shaped sheet and part geometries, and holes present in the sheet and part. The layout below shows how true shape nesting helps in recognizing the irregularities of big parts and fitting some smaller parts there.
